Maintenance Care for your Furniture |
You will be issued with a product on purchase called Woodoc oil. This is an extremely effective maintenace oil containing paraffin and wax. It easily penetrates the microporous lacquers of today and feeds the wood. If used regularly it will give a nice waxy feel without the fingerprints or ring marks, it helps keep the wood supple. Woodoc is a relatively inexpensive product and it will keep the appearance of your furniture if used regularly, at least once a month. We supply further Woodoc at £8 per 375ml (including postage) but this will normally last 18 months.
Remember your furniture is a totally natural product. It has been exposed to the elements as a tree and a sleeper for the best part of two to three centuries; when you put it in your home it is going to be in an alien environment. We endeavour to prepare it for such an environment but a small amount of movement in the timber may be anticipated while it settles down.
